Gift Aid is a simple way for Laurencekirk Scout Group to increase the value of subscription fees, sponsorship money and donations we receive from UK taxpayers. The scheme costs you nothing and is a potentially lucrative source of income for the group. As an example, for every £30 subscription fee, we can claim £7.50 from the tax man. At a time when we are trying to refurbish our hall as well as operate the Group, every pound we can generate is invaluable.
In order to allow us to claim Gift Aid we must have declarations from parents/carers of children in the group. In order to make a declaration, you must be a UK taxpayer. If parents/carers have separate bank accounts and both are likely to pay fees for their child(ren) it would be helpful if both could fill in a declaration form. Otherwise only one form is required irrespective of how many children you have in the group.
If you are eligible and willing to take part in the scheme please print and fill out this form and return it to Leigh-Ann Duffy, Treasurer.
